FAQ — LinkedIn Ads Claude Connector

Everything you need to know about installing and using the NotFair LinkedIn Ads connector inside Claude.

It's a custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector you add inside Claude Desktop, Claude.ai Web, or Claude Cowork. Once installed, Claude can read your LinkedIn ad accounts — campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, analytics, and targeting — in real time, then diagnose issues and propose changes you approve in chat.

LinkedIn Ads is a three-level tree: the ad account holds campaign groups, campaign groups hold campaigns, and campaigns deliver creatives. The connector reads the whole tree through the LinkedIn Marketing API and exposes 41 tools covering campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, targeting, analytics, Conversions API event streaming, and lead-form sync.

Anywhere Claude supports remote custom connectors: Claude Desktop, Claude.ai on the web, and Claude Cowork. If you use Claude Code or Codex, NotFair also ships as an MCP server you can wire to those CLIs.

You need a LinkedIn account with access to at least one ad account. NotFair connects via the standard LinkedIn OAuth flow.

Only with your explicit approval. Claude can propose pausing campaign groups or campaigns, adjusting budgets and bids, or creating new campaigns — new campaigns are created in DRAFT status first, and budget or bid changes can be previewed with a dryRun before anything goes live. Every write action is shown to you first and requires confirmation. Read access is unrestricted; write access is gated.

Yes. After OAuth, NotFair shows the full list of ad accounts your LinkedIn identity has access to. You pick the curated subset NotFair is allowed to read and write — only those accounts are exposed to Claude.

Live ad-account info, campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, targeting, lead-form submissions, and analytics (spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversions, leads) — pulled directly from the LinkedIn Marketing API in real time.
